Santa Laurensia School

Kindergarten

Children are natural explorers and agents of positive change, and their early years form the foundation for lifelong learning. Recognizing the importance of these formative years, Santa Laurensia Kindergarten, guided by the vision of the Tunas Manunggal Foundation, provides a joyful and holistic learning environment where every child is nurtured with care, purpose, and love.

Our Kindergarten program focuses on the balanced development of each child’s intellectual, social, emotional, physical, aesthetic, and spiritual growth. Through play-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, express themselves, and develop essential life skills such as independence, honesty, responsibility, and empathy.

Santa Laurensia Kindergarten Suvarna Sutera implements the National Curriculum, enriched with the school’s Vision and Mission and best practices in early childhood education. This approach ensures that children are well prepared—academically, socially, and emotionally—for a smooth transition to Primary School and beyond.

At Santa Laurensia Kindergarten, learning goes beyond the classroom. Children are supported in developing critical thinking, creativity, confidence, and character, while being gently guided to grow in faith and values. Through an integrated and holistic learning process, every child is empowered to discover their potential and develop a genuine love for learning, laying a strong foundation for a confident and caring future.

Building on the foundations provided in Elementary School, the curriculum for the Junior High level focuses on students’ critical analysis and creative thinking. Students begin to engage in higher reasoning both in the Sciences as well as the Arts.  In addition, students are encouraged to explore and develop moral character and faith. Both academic and personal objectives are accomplished through a holistic and integrated approach to education by framing various skills and moral issues that scaffold one other. Teachers accomplish this by using bahasa Indonesia and English as the languages of instruction and communication, thereby instilling a bilingual competency and cultural awareness in students.

Santa Laurensia’s teaching method in the Junior High section also implements experiential and experimental programs such as Edmodo, Global Scholars and Out of EdenHarvard’s Project Zero  This approach allows the students to focus more tightly on classroom presentations. Students also have the opportunity to explore and develop talents and interests by engaging in extra-curricular activities, such as sports, music, and other arts. With the aim of building students’ competencies and character, Santa Laurensia is dedicated to developing students’ discipline and integrity that pave the way toward personal morality, social civility, and duty to others.
