At the senior high level, Santa Laurensia bases its uniquely comprehensive curriculum on a holistic and integrated approach to education to better prepare our students for success in tertiary academic careers. The methodology implements intensive remedial and experiential learning objectives for selective courses. For example, during remedial courses, students receive more focused attention from teachers who are able to provide well-tailored teaching instruction to students. Students are then able to engage classroom discourse more actively, thereby improving their performance and achieving their objectives. Teachers explore various ways to impart academic information to students, realizing that the learning styles of students vary tremendously from student to student.
We address the multiple intelligences of our students by using various media of instruction. For example, specially structured computer classes offer the opportunity for students to explore personal interests and aptitudes in various fields of study. Also, nontraditional courses also provide students with alternative ways of accessing information. In these ways, the teachers of Santa Laurensia strive to reach each and every student, delivering challenging and meaningful lessons that address the various intelligences of students, thereby forging leaders of tomorrow.
