Meet & Greet:

Arswendo Atmowiloto

On 2^nd of June 2009, teachers of Bahasa Indonesian got together with the library staff to give a big surprise to 6^th grade. They invited Aswendo Atmowiloto, one of Indonesian best known author, to come along and share his knowledge and experience. Perhaps his best knownfor is Pesta Jangkrik written in 1970 this consists of 9 short stories and is a must read for 6th grade as it provides material for this national exam. 

Garry Reuben started a short presentation summarising the tales and this more messages before Augustine Karina introduced everyone to the characters & settings. Next Skolastika Cita Ken Maharsi outlined her favorite story, Juara Masak Tak Terkalahkan while Niklas Lesmana Tjitra did the scene with Karpiyah Hilang.

Arswendo was very impressed with the way his work was analyzed and discused by our 6th graders.(Ms. Theres & Ms. Eko, compiled by: Mr. Antony Sutton)
