BALI ADVENTURE

 

Due to school academic program for the period of 2008-2009, 102 students of Santa Laurensia accompanied by 7 teachers held study trip to Bali. The journey, which commenced on February 23 until March 1, 2009, aimed to elaborate the lessons delivered in class by taking part in a series of natural activities and blending with Balinese. Through their involvement, the students are expected to adapt to the nature and Balinese society.

The six days proceedings were focused on certain areas in Bali; to exemplify, going for a bike riding and rafting, as well as practicing Balinese dance in Ubud and Kecak dance in Uluwatu, observing traditional Balinese activities in Tenganan, going for a mountain climbing and experiencing the beauty of sunrise in Kintamani, repelling a high rope in Bedugul and involving in other activities in Jimbaran and Kuta. Generally this trip went smoothly. The students captured each moment as unforgettable memories; owing to the fact that the participants have another perspective about Bali since then. The island of Gods does not only provide tourists with its charming beaches, but also with its unique socio-cultural ethnics and tradition; thereby, the students will be more able to acknowledge Bali wholly.
