NATIONAL COMPETENCE COMPETITION for TOURISM VOCATIONAL STUDENTS
On June 23-29, 2008 one of our students Yohanna Kurniawan from Santa Laurensia Tourism Vocational School went to Makassar accompanied by Ms. Christ as a coach (fare calculation & ticketing teacher) represented Banten province to join in Indonesia National Competence Competition for Vocational Students, which was held in Makassar – Sulawesi.
This annual prestigious competition was participated by 33 provinces in Indonesia, with the total of 2,200 people involved, included: students, coaches, juries, judges, and committees. Banten itself sent their 80 participants and it won the 6th place among Indonesia. What amazed there are more than 50 majors in Vocational school all over Indonesia who took part in this competition, some of them were: tourism, hotel management, front office, secretary, fishery, automotive, electricity, animation, hair dressing, handicraft, etc.
From this national event, we proudly to have Hanna was in the 1st place for tourism subjects that were assessed (Tour planning, ticketing, and guiding technique), she won a trophy and got a scholarship in her preference university in Indonesia for tourism major. Bravo to Hanna and her coach! Viva Santa Laurensia Tourism Vocational School!
