A Java Bali Educational Tour

Students of Grade XI Santa Laurensia Tourism Vocational High School from March 6– 16, 2008 went for Java Bali Educational Tour.

The trip started with a visit to Kampung Naga, one of the major destination in West Java Province. In Central java, they experienced sunrise on Dieng Plateau and visited Borobudur Temple, Prambanan Temple as well as The Sultan’s Palace in Yogyakarta and Surakarta. They stayed in Kalibaru, a nice town nearby Banyuwangi which is popular for their plantation since the Dutch time. Finally they crossed Bali Strait to reach their final destination. In this island they explored several places like Ubud as the heart of Balinese art, Barong and Keris Dance at Batu Bulan, Kintamani and many other places of interest.

The purpose of this educational tour taught and showed them about the richness of Indonesia culture as assets of Indonesian tourism. Our teachers also trained them to become a competent inbound tour guide, started with their preparation until the daily responsibilities to ensure tourists meet their needs. (Mr. Handojo)
